The health screening study in Solukhumbu

The Institute for Nepal is proud to partner with Pulmonary Hypertension Association Nepal and Sotang Village Government (Solukhumbu) in conducting a screening study on rare heart and lung disorders in children. This is the first project under our “Healthy Nepal Initiative”. We would like to thank everyone in Nepal and abroad who joined us in this collaborative effort. The Institute for Nepal looks forward to doing many more studies to understand the health status of ordinary Nepali people in remote areas, and design solutions to address the identified needs where possible. We are looking to receive support from Nepalis and Friends of Nepal. This mission is not possible without your help! Please stay tuned for our upcoming projects in different areas like education, environment, agriculture under different initiatives such as “Educate Nepal Initiative”, “ Clean Nepal Initiative”, “Resilient Nepal Initiative”, “Youth Leads Initiative”, “Nepal Works Initiative” etc Our initiatives are in alignment with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 ( #UNSDG30)Let’s make Nepal a better place for all!Institute for Nepal TeamPragati Ghimire, MD, MPH, PhD (’21), Co-founder Pukar Bam, MA, PhD (’22), Co-founderChooda Mani Khanal PhD, Advisor #InstituteForNepal#HealthyNepalInitiative
